Septentrio mosaic-X5 is Septentrio's most compact high-precision GPS/GNSS high-precision GNSS module, delivering best-in-class centimeter-level positioning performance even in challenging environments. It's a multi-band, multi-constellation GPS/GNSS receiver in a low power surface mount module. It is designed for mass market applications like robotics and autonomous systems  supporting all current and future GNSS satellite signals. The GNSS+ Technologies - Top performance in challenging environments

Advanced Receiver Autonomous Integrity Monitoring (RAIM+) comprises fault detection mechanisms of the receiver at all the levels including the generation of measurements, quality control and navigation algorithms. Detected faulty measurements, which are typically caused by high multipath or active ionosphere, are removed from the solution.

Activity in the ionosphere is a problem for GNSS signals, from loss of RTK fix to total loss of signal lock. Having honed our skills, supporting applications in the most iono-active areas on Earth,  the result is IONO+: the most advanced protection against ionospheric disturbances to GNSS signals on any receiver.

Metal and large nearby structures can reflect GNSS signals and produce multipath. The APME+ system effectively disentangles direct and reflected signals enhancing both position and measurement quality. APME+ is bias free and, in line with Septentrio’s commitment to maximum configurability, can be disabled.

Interference robustness

mosaic-X5TM features Septentrio's AIM+ Premium, the most advanced on-board interference mitigation technology on the market. The Premium version offers enhanced jamming and spoofing protection with superior wideband resilience and OSNMA authentication for demanding RF environments.

This technology suppresses the widest variety of interferers, from simple continuous narrowband signals to complex multi-frequency wideband and pulsed jammers. The radiofrequency (RF) spectrum can be viewed in real-time in both time and frequency domains. Jamming is a form of radio interference which occurs when GPS frequency is overpowered by other radio waves, resulting in accuracy degradation or event total loss of position. Spoofing is a malicious form of radio interference, where misleading signals are sent into the receiver, resulting in faulty coordinates, which lead the target away from its predefined track.  

Easy-to-integrate

mosaic-X5 comes with fully-documented interfaces, commands and data messages. The included RxTools software allows receiver configuration, monitoring as well as data logging and analysis.

Intuitive web user interface

The mosaic-X5 module includes an intuitive web user interface for easy operation and monitoring allowing you to control the receiver from any mobile device or computer. The web interface also uses easy-to-read quality indicators ideal to monitor the receiver operation during the job at hand.
