GNSS receivers for orbit positioning and time as part of a satellite payload
LEO satellites are being launched by the thousands and they are changing the way we connect to the internet, observe the Earth and deliver PNT (Positioning, Navigation and Time). These satellites move at an astonishing speed of almost 8 km/s, which can pose an issue for standard COTS receivers. Septentrio is pioneering robust space-ready GNSS receivers, with a possibility to remove COCOM limits, allowing the receiver to move very fast at high altitudes. These receivers have a low power consumption, which is important especially when multiple receivers are required in a single payload.
Septentrio has been a close partner of European Space Agency (ESA) since the beginning of the Galileo Space Program. The first GNSS receiver ever to receive live Galileo signals was built by our team of dedicated engineers.
