RxTools is a set of GUI (Graphical User Interface) applications that work with all Septentrio GNSS receivers. These tools have been designed to allow you to get the most out of your Septentrio receiver. Each tool offers an intuitive interface and lets you visualize or manipulate GNSS data according to your needs. RxTools software tools are helpful for ensuring a smooth receiver integration as well as continuous monitoring and analysis of your GNSS system.

RxTools software suite includes the following tools:

RxControl:

A graphical user interface which facilitates control and monitoring of Septentrio GPS receivers. It can be used to configure Septentrio receivers and monitor receiver data by visualizing available satellites and their signals. Analyze GNSS activity with plots such as signal-to-noise, sky plot, position plot, 3D orientation visualization, time-plots and more.

Figure 2: Carrier-to-Noise Plot shows signal quality. Septentrio receivers are unmatched at being able to track all possible GNSS and their signals simultaneously. This makes the receiver robust in difficult environments such as near high structures.

SBF Analyzer:

A powerful tool when deep analysis of recorded GNSS data is needed. It allows the user to visualize multiple time plots of the SBF data as well as to visualize historic information. Includes functionality to easily create your own custom PDF reports.

SBF Converter:

A GUI which facilitates SBF log file conversion to various other formats such as ASCII, RINEX, KML (Google Earth), etc.

RxLogger:

A GUI which provides advanced logging capability. Its main feature is support of logging on multiple streams, where an SBF frequency rate can be specified per stream. RxLogger also offers post-processing actions of SBF files such as conversion to RINEX format, conversion to CGGTTS format, FTP transfers, compression and even custom actions ideal for the integration of your own or preferred toolset.

RxUpgrade:

Updates your Septentrio GNSS receiver with new firmware. It can also be called via command line, allowing you to upgrade multiple receivers at a time.

Data Link:

A graphical communication terminal with multiple ports which allows users to establish and forward connections between a receiver and other devices connected in serial and/or TCP/IP ports. Independent from the hardware connected to it, Data Link is handy when transmitting differential corrections (RTCM, CMR, etc.) to different ports, when setting up a dial-up modem connection or when using command line scripts to set up communication devices.

RxDownload:

When you are managing multiple receivers, you require an easy way to access and download your receiver data. RxDownload is the ideal tool to get access to logged data from multiple receivers.

RxPlanner:

A software tool designed to find the most appropriate timing for GNSS related work such as surveying. It allows visualization of satellite visibility (GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and Geostationary satellites) at a particular location over a user-defined time period. It gives an estimate of the potential quality of a GNSS solution and provides suggestions on appropriate times for surveying.

RxLeverArm:

This tool visualizes, validates and automatically calibrates the exact distance between the GNSS/INS receiver and the antenna. For lever arm compensation, users need to measure the rough distance between the IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) and the main GNSS antenna reference points. Data is then logged under open-sky conditions, which allows RxLeverArm tool to optimize the initial rough distance measurement.

*RxTools does not support PolaRx2e receivers, PolaRx Graphical Tools Java based application is available for these or older receivers.
